What happens if I decide to change my CC to a PTY?

1. Your company’s name will finish in “Pty (Ltd)” rather than “CC.”

2. The present members are going to be the directors of the company. A certain number of shares in the PTY Company will belong to each Director.

3. As stated below, you will obtain company documents in compliance with the most recent Companies Act of 2008:

COR14.3: Certificate of Company Registration (formerly CK1 document for CCs).
Forms for the appointment of directors are COR14.1 and CoR14.1A.
The abbreviated format version of the Memorandum of Incorporation (MOI), as recommended by CIPC, is COR15.1A. Please indicate if you want the Long MOI or your own Custom MOI.

Is it possible for a CC to own Shares in a company?

A private corporation and a CC are comparable. It needs to register as a taxpayer in and of itself because it is a separate legal entity with perpetual succession and its own legal identity. A CC has no shareholders since it lacks share capital.
